Or just read the FAQ!! But who reads the Read me or the FAQ when they don't get working??
Good point... except I never enter the forums, I just spot interesting posts on New Posts. So it didn't occur to me that there was a specific forum and a FAQ.

I dont know what its like where you are at... but here in TX really its hard to find a highschool/college job that will pay over, if $9.00 at all for begining. If you all know places that start you off at $9.00+ please let me know becuase I sure don't.
Blockbuster starts there managers at $9.00.
No, $9 an hour is a good wage for a high school/college student. I guess I just got it lucky because I have a college job that pays over $10 an hour. :)

On a similar note, Seagate will be coming out with a Terabyte hard drive (1000 Gigabytes) sometime in 2003.
This will have huge implications to the music and movie business, since you will be able to store over 100+ DVDx quality 2 hour feature movies on 1 holographic CDR or 1000+ movies on one terabyte hard drive.

The holographic CD sounds to me like it would be extremely vulnerable to scratches. I read the article with that in mind and no where in there does it talk about applications for consumers like you and me. It talks about theaters using it for digital movies and the like and other manufacturors using it but not end consumers.

It works fine with glencox. Very strange, but in a couple of days Issmit should be passing me, so if it is something the widget it should happen again (at least with my widget). I'll let you know.

Does anyone know what intel has up its sleeve, are they also going to have a comparable product by "Mid 2007"?
EDIT:
Also, is Tiger capable of using multiple cores?? I'm sure it is, but never really cared, since my eMac only has 1 cpu, haha.

Didn't we just talk about this in another thread? Maybe I read it somewhere else.
Anyway, whatever. They can try to have it removed all they want. No law says you can't try. I just doubt any judge will back them up.

Oh hush. You can bitch and complain about Jaguar and no more OS9 all you want, it's not going to bring it back. If you want to run it then run it. Don't go off bitching about it. Where Apple is headed with these 'fancy peripherals' as you so elegantly call them, is the future of home computing. In 5 years there won't be 'personal computers' anymore, there will be a bunch of fancy peripherals interconnected like what Apple and Phillips are doing with Rendevous. You go and run your OS9 if you want, Apple's not going to stop you.

This is a topic that's appeared in a few previous threads, but the recent barefeets benchmark tests comparing the slightly different configured 1GHz Quicksilver to the new 1 GHz dual, despite competing views these tests have generated, leave me and perhaps many of us wondering which is the better deal: a used dual GHz or its newer "equivalent"?
I just bought from an individual the older one w/3yrs AppleCare, a gig of memory, the NVIDEA GForce 4MX, and an external 40-gig Maxtor drive, all for the same amount as Apple's stock-configured 1 GHz dualie. There's no Apple Store near me to see the newer one up close.
I'm not a graphics arts designer or filmmaker but a cultural anthropologist/folklorist/professor who will be burning DVDs for classroom pursposes for the university where I teach. Also, I'd hope whatever I get will still hold its own a few years later.
I'd appreciate any thoughts on this, but in layman's terms. Apple techies expectedly insist that the newer model is the better way to go.
Thanks,
Rick

... I machined parts for a company that made lead frame trim and form machines. Motorola was their biggest customer. Most of the machines went to Malaysia.
What this generally meant then was that the production was generally trouble free and in volume.
The only speculation I would make from this is that capacity would be freed up for ramp up of follow on parts (7470?) and that prices on G4's might drop to a price favorable to inclusion in iBooks.
Other than these observations...I'll hold on to my $.02 for awhile...

Nothing is wrong with Myspace itself, but there are a lot of strange people out there who use myspace as a way to get to people and use it in a bad way.
