I was under the assumption that you had a TiBook and OSX!!!
But I travel with my TiBook everywhere in sleep mode, and I have never had a problem, even with a lot a bumping and banging of my Ti!!!!!
Also I read somewhere that supports my statement but I cant remember where..

2k for the top of the line workstation is very good. Add to that you can now put a cinema display with it for 699.
Good stuff, now update the freakin' POWERBOOKS!!!

Profits from hardware funds Apple software. Not just the OS but the iApps too. You want to get away with not paying Apples prices and still benefit? Sorry but it would never work. MS makes MOST if it's money not by selling to the 'end user' but in contracts negotiated with computer makers as well as corporate site licences. Apple would die a quick death. Apple isn't in a position where it can force system makers to include OS X with each box sold (like MS can).

Not quite.
Rush stands for the guy on the radio...
However, it would really be cool if Rush band members used Macs too!
But I'm not sure on that...

Yeah, I read both links but still don't really know what's going on haha. All I know is that it is for a good cause, so I'm down. Plus, their not testing on animals so it's a big plus for me.

Hello all,
It's been a while. Life has been quite busy here for me. A few weeks ago everything started falling back in to place again.
After a few weeks of doing absolutely nothing but trying to decide (summer break @ edu job) i pointed the gun towards the church tower (it's a dutch saying : The bullet is through the church - decision has been made).
Today i started my first day of school. Finally doing something I really like :). And after some tryouts with jobs i could do while studying i landed on a sweet spot at a retail shop (guess what i'm selling :D;)).
Anyhow, school really will take up most of my time, so i will have to choose between a masters degree or a cool widget.
I could stop reading MR...
The widget now works again.
Download here (http://www.yuru.be/widget/FoldingTracker.wdgt.zip) or use the link in the first post.
If you, or anybody you know would like to continue or redesign a folding widget, feel free to contact me. It's a great way of getting started with webdesign and javascript. I mentioned the possibility of making a Konfabulator version of the widget to EOC, they seemed to like it and, just maybe, if you play your cards right, there could be something in it for you.
I'm throwing in the towel but am more than happy to donate all my work and conversations with EOC to somebody who is really interested in making this a very cool widget.
Thx for your support while making this widget. You guys rock, all (well ok, not all but most ;))

Yep, my modest PDA mock-up that has been reincarnated several times to my surprise.
I lurked for a while before and after that and didn't start posting a lot until the iWalk incident  I really couldn't believe people were going for that.
And eye, I already did find your first post. Maybe a mod could delete the diorio post and I''ll edit mine to say that, of course I've never seen you guys delete a post when a user requests it.

Dual G5 folding here. Hopefully we will gain some ground when Mac Pro is out ;)
Im curious; has anyone any statistics on how much energy is being used world-wide on folding?

Who gives a rats ass?
Its apparently a great game. Its getting rave reviews. So its a big deal for mac to get an a-list game.
To answer your question, anyone that is a star wars fan or anyone that likes high quality games. Which, last I heard, means a lot of people.
The bigger question is when is it coming out for Mac? Though I'm all for more games on mac, I have to say that I'll probably be finished playing the ps2 version by the time the mac version is released...

what's wrong with macdailynews?Read enough user comments there and my remark to Earendil will eventually make sense. :)
It was sarcastic humor, if anyone even cares. Actually MDN has been relatively calm and civil lately, especially without the political firestorms.
Btw, that's a classic clueless IT story, Earendil. It's both sad and comical how their strict, stubborn Windows-centric antivirus policy insisted on making unnecessary hassles for you with controlling, fearful, reactive behavior that exposed their ignorance about Mac OS X. Any negotiations under those circumstances can be hopelessly frustrating but getting too pissed-off only seems to counterproductively fuel their delusions. Good "luck"!

THIS IS GREAT!
I live in Ardmore and now I have an Apple Store within walking distance.
I did not know a store was opening. I will check it out when I get home. Perhaps a new macbook will come home with me.:D

ha, great advice. But I think Doctor Q has the right attitude. It will continue to serve him well for years to come. I'm working on my PowerMacG4 450 right now and I still use it as my main machine at home (I have a 667 TiPB for work) and I bought it when it first came out, so that's about 3 years ago....not bad if you ask me.
So I'll be looking to buy a new machine next year and look forward to what ever it is G5, Power4, what ever. And by then the G6 and Power5 will be front page of MacRumors....

vix....... I hear ya man. These dudes need to get with it, The PC world is leaps and bounds ahead with their laptops and their $3000 machines smoke the $3200 PB800. I am ready to give Apple as much as $4110 for a laptop with options/more RAM etc... But they just aren't giving me a reason to do so yet! I too may just go and get a second hand Duel 800 or something and a nice 22" used monitor of ebay.
