I found some more pictures of closer shots and once again I was repulsed by the texture. The misshaped buttons bother me. :)
I don't mind clear if well presented.
The white has grown on me. I'm just glad they didn't use that tacky indigo blue from the Cube. I waited for the black version before picking one up.

He just wants to play his music on Linux, is there something wrong with that?Yes.
I really don't think that it would be terribly difficult to port iTunes or Quicktime to Linux.Probably not, but are you going to whip out a check to pay for it? Software delevelopment is not free.

I'm betting the date stated by IBM yesterday is a Red Herring.
The new fab at Fishkill began operation late Spring/early Summer
A few months ago, G5 rumors were way rampant.
A red MoBo with a SINGLE processor shows up on e-bay(cocked at a 45 degree angle, no less).
Stories abounded about "superfast" powermac protos.
I think IBM is already making the 970, has been for several months and Apple has a bunch of proto boxes, already debugging.
Notice they say the 970 will come out at .13micron, but the Fishkill fab goes to .09micron next Spring(hearsay).
I'll be buying a new tower next year...

the iTablet here.
i would jump out and buy one of these on release. every time i read a rumor about these, it takes me a week to settle and realize it is fake.

Which website is this. It may not be true.
Also, the architect would design/build it. He doesn't oversee what computer the architect uses.

i don't consider myself quite retarded enough to warrant replacing them.
I don't need them either but I'm goin to use the old straps as lanyard thingies.

That's a no brainer go with the PS2. It is only 90 dollars and even if you only use it for three months, you still get your money's worth. Then you can trade it in for a little extra scratch to go towards a PS3.

If I had to buy a new cube computer tomorrow it would be Panasonics Game Qube. The awesome little thing is a Nintendo built for the home entertainment system.

Apple is known for excellent computers. So why do the live at 1 Infinite loop? Infinite loops are not good things when it comes to computers(i have a computer dictionary;) ). Unless the chose it because 1 mac has had 1 infinite loop, why would the choose such a badd adress?
Because it's funny?
I always thought so at least.
As a CS major I can say they are the bane of every program, and half the time they are REALLY stupid mistakes. They are just a fact of writing programs, and as such go well with computers.
If you want to be serious about it though and skip humorr, I suppose you could say that Inifinite loops aren't a BAD thing. The program is actually still doing work, and doing exactly what it is told to do... Forever. So The idea that Apple is going to forever do exactly what it has been doing, which is exactly what it was told to do, isn't that bad of an idea, is it? ;)
~Earendil
ps
I'm sure Apple had a say in naming the road, and it wasn't named until AFTER Apple was established. It wasn't like it was an accident and Apple just wasn't careful enough about where they put down shop.

This question is probably only of interest to long-time members, so I put it here in the MacRumors Old Skool forum.
If you click "User CP" and then "List Subscriptions", how many thread subscriptions do you have listed? (I think you can also shortcut the process by clicking here (http://forums.macrumors.com/subscription.php?do=viewsubscription).)
Do you ever clean them out?
My answers: 1770 and yes.

There's an easy way to tell which one's from AMD and which one's from IBM...
The IBM guy will be at least 6 ft 5in tall and built like arnie.
The AMD guy will be wearing 3D specs and a T Shirt with "when ?" written on the front and back.
IBM = Big Blue
AMD = 3D Now! (I was clutching at straws for that one)

Pure speculation follows...
What about a bluetooth-enabled ipod which allowed you to sync wirelessly to the mac and possibly fileshare with macs and other ipods (not the music though... unless you hacked it!). Also, then you could have bluetooth headphones (already available for cell phones). I think it'd be pretty amazing to have wireless headphones on while the ipod sits in my bookbag or pocket. Less wires would be a good thing.
As for the dock, I don't think I'd use it.

Sarcasm wont get you anywhere.
I was giving this guy some honest advice, and pointed him toward the type of computer that I use, which offers extremely good performance for 3D animation apps.

not only that, but there is a limit to where bigger is NOT better. a 30 inch screen placed 2 feet in front of you doesn't seem to make much sense.

Well I am rather stupid with these quiz things, and I don't remember most of the answers.
However I do know who was the other Admin. Blackspot was the other Admin, he did most of the story approving.
Does anyone remember the old icons MR used for Games? OS X?

I translated this myself...
----
According to the sources, Bird Electronics has released a notebook computer (laptop), ZeroBeat, which is made out of 'Urethane' foam from 'kick board' materials. By using a mobile internal cooler, the cooling system of this laptop is said to be close to perfect.
----
According to the sources, the soon-to-be-released Powerbook G4 will have a built-in Superdrive and Bluetooth. Also, the design of the machine will not change dramatically, and it will be released as a new Powerbook G4.
----
There. I don't know what 'urethane' or 'kick board' is, so I left that as is. Hope it helps.
The original Sherlock translation was pretty good.

Amen to that! I wonder, the new dual duallies (or dual quads), do they have two or four (four or eight for the quads) WU's at a time? Or can one duallie do one WU and are both processors on one chip working on the same WU?
1 WU per core. The folding app isn't SMP aware in any way. That it's dual core doesn't change anything.
4 WU at the same time (for the Quad) isn't so bad though.
