I am running FAH on two computers and I checked to see how many points the projects were worth, and it turns out that the project is the same on both computers. Am I going to get credit for folding it twice, or should I have one of them start a different protein?

Well I kinda shocked nobody posted this so here goes...

Check out this one slide from the PDF... Its shows the MCF7457 ETA 03 running at up to 1.8Ghz. Still the same slow bus speed tho... Then in 04 a 'proposed' version with a RapidIO bus.

Does anyone out there know where Connect360 saves its log to?? I have the setting enabled for "Detailed Logging (Debug Mode)" turned on but I can't seem to find where it is located on my HD. This would really be helpful since I am not sitting at my laptop 24/7 waiting for this idiot to connect to my network.

Yeah, the faster PCI is moving into server motherboards shortly, and will hit consumers by late if memory serves. It runs at 100MHz as opposed to the 66MHz that AGP runs at, and the 33MHz that the original PCI runs at.

I'd buy a used one from Gamestop because you can get an extended warranty for $20 versus buying a used one anywhere else that could crap out on your in a month's time and then you're stuck with a broken Xbox.

One that has been opened and traded, probably was a "mod attempt" as in they screwed it up, leaving you with either a flaky system or a completely unusable one.
Modding it YOURSELF, is of course not as simple as flicking a switch, but at least YOU are the one doing it.
Buying an opened XBOX from a brick n mortar is asking for trouble, and whats more, is opening one voids any and all warranty, though I dont know if it voids Gamestops warranty as it was opened to begin with.
ps: dont confuse opened with the word used, opened in this case means the actual plastic casing was removed and the insides tinkered with.
pps: even if a broken XBOX were to happen, they are actually "easy" to fix.

it is extreamly important, with css, html, etc... to know what browser your developing for because many things do not work across all browsers. we can thank MS for this, which is why we dev for firefox first, then IE.

The new one has some improvements in internal layout, cooling, and expandability.
If you do not plan on upgrading the machines while you own them -- then buying on cost alone shouldn't be much of a problem during ownership, since performance is similar.
However, if you plan on doing a lot of heavy optical burning (or see the need to keep optical up-to-date or need more than one), if you see the need a bunch of HDs, or you plan on keeping the CPU up-to-date -- then the newer one may make a little more sense.

they are a hardware company... they don't want to sell their OS to run on every standard PC that they dont know what hardware its being used on (one of hte reasons Mac OS os so good is because apple control all the hardware it runs on)
If they sold their OS to run on anything they would sell next to no hardware - not a great move for a hardware company now is it.
Hate to tell you this but Apple hardware and PC hardware are the same now for 99.9999999% of the machine. That argument does no longer apply. You make a great product then market it. Apple is missing the boat while Microsoft holds onto the rudder.
