I've always used firefox as an alternative for a browser on my PC. I was considering using it for my mac when it used the mac aqua them in 0.73. Now, firefox uses the same theme all across OS's.
Firefox has more features than safari: allowing pop-up for some sites and blocking cookies from some sites) I hope that safari in OS 10.4, tiger, will improve a lot. I still download the latest firefox version for my mac; there are times when some sites do not work safari and do on firefox.
Sometimes i wish safari used the mozilla gecko engine instead of konquerer ... that way website developers only have to worry about compatibility issues with 2 browsers instead of 3. Firefox on mac is fast, i'm sure apple programmers could make it faster.

Downloaded and installed. I don't see any difference between 1.0 and the 1.0RC, but that's typical, well for the company i work for. It's nice to know that it's the official production release.
Could be in my head, but it does seem a bit snappier. I hope its more stable at least, i was having at least one crash a day with the last build.
There's also a new updates button next to the google search in the top of the window. It changes colors based on the importance of the update. when i first started the program it was red for a "critical update"

I guess I'm playing a different wow. No nagging guild and I'm well past 20.
Probably so. There has to be a reason why 5 million others are playing :) Just posting my experience which of course will be different to others.
Just found the game wanted tooooo much from me in order to get anything rewarding out.
The solo stuff is hack at a wolf, hack at a more powerful wolf, hack at a ogre, hack at... Sometimes it's just so dang repetitive...but the dungeons and caves are cool...but even then can be annoying...you get stuck with folks who play non stop and have done it 25 times and they spoil every little bit and there's 0% failure chance...takes the fun out....
Yep that was it for me. Solo levelling - run here kill 10 of these, run here kill 20 of these. That gets so repetative and tiresome, you look for a decent mission/quest and find you really need a guild/group to do it... And then exactly as you say "you get stuck with folks who play non stop and have done it 25 times and they spoil every little bit and there's 0% failure chance...takes the fun out...."

The truth is that it is too hard for me to follow some of you guys when you compare Ferarri / Mercedes with Daewoo / Yugo. Is this the best you can do to make a point?
Really pathetic, may I say.

Arg. Misvoted. Voted for FF2, because that's what it was originally called on the SNES in the US (even though I know the numbering is screwed up and you clearly wrote NES by it). I guess that makes my real vote for FF IV.

this would be one hell of an update if the TiBooks really get all these things. 1GHz, DDR RAM and a 64MB video card!  :D
I see the 64MB card in PowerBooks and 32MB card in iBooks FAR more likely than DDR RAM
1GHz is not unlikely because the top end machine is USUALLY the new low end so that would mean 800MHz and something else. 800 - 667 = 133. While 800 and 933 sounds more likely than 800 and 1GHz I think there is a move to get machines above the 1GHz mark.
cb911 - how weird, I read your sig and it reminded me of a Custard line and then I see ur from BrisVegas.... weird.
BTW, the line was "this world divides into people who think there's 2 kinds of folks and those who don't".

Oh, I'm so sorry to bother you with my silly little Wii problems. I suppose I should be just fine with controllers that don't always control. While I'm at it, I should be just like you and accept that my mouse doesn't always click, my keyboard doesn't always type, and my TV remote doesn't always change channels.
Huh thats what I usually do:confused: anyway im just trying to say it is a common problem and its not like they are going to replace your numchuck.

I think that we can expect new powermacs in Jan, because it sounded like it at MW Paris, and the new powermacs are a letdown, and apple doesnt like to let down its customers.

I think you need to take a long look at the world and consider what hackers have been able to do for YOU. Not all hackers go after a small website designed for a technical community. That's not the way to infamy (spell?). Most of it is political, monetary, or religious targets.

Around 9:45 PM eastern during the Will and Grace: Say Goodnight Gracie series finale, Apple aired the Get a Mac ad where the PC crashes and restarts; at the end of the commercial the word "Mac" is displayed on the screen of a white MacBook instead of the iMac used in the commercials previously.
I saw it too, same time, same show.

There are some restrictions on Apple Store people that don't necessarily apply to everyone else. Here (http://chuqui.typepad.com/teal_sunglasses/2006/04/what_i_do_for_a.html) we can see an example of a long time employee giving up the goods on one of the deepest, darkest Apple secrets of them all.

I don't and won't do anything for SETI. If extraterrestrial life existed God would have told us from the beginning. ;) All in all it is a waste of time and a waste of your life for an empty cause. Are you serious or joking? In any case, the computers are doing all the work, it's not a waste of my time! I'm not running SETI now, but I've had this dual G5 sitting around, seems like I should put it to work. I do agree though, the time is probably better spent with something closer to home and more immediately useful, like protein folding.

MACBANDIT [B]I don't know how many of you have actually spent time on a dual ghz mac but they are blazing fast. I currently own and am using a dual ghz/DDR and this thing flys with everything.
I agreed with you. The new dual ghz is FAST, but the noise in the hot summer day. I can use my new Powermac as heater in the winter season. :)
This baby can heat up your room nice and warm!:) if you are looking for heater and something to compute, Apple dual is a machine to get!

Maybe they did only part of WU and then they had a error resulting in no work completed so no points, but it still counts as a WU. The error could be cause by the CPU and a number of other things.
Just my thoughts:D

Apple programmed a flawed system - it's only fair somebody has bothered to exploit it. Maybe now they can rebuild it in a manner that is secure.

I'm waiting for FireFox to take on a more mac-like appearance.
I'm content with Safari, but it does display some pages strangely, and I've had nothing but perfect page displays in FF.

I think Blu-Ray would be an awesome addition to the iMac or MacBook line. As for the Sony laptop, I have never understood this whole putting two hard drives in a laptop idea. I can see multiple drives in a desktop (I've got 4 at home), but putting more drives in a laptop results in computer that will suck infinitely more juice and get a battery life of, well 2 hours. That's what mobile firewire drives are for.
