YOU DON'T GET THE POINT, DO YOU?

This is the main reason why you shouldn't be making rash decisions when you're angry. And this is what Revillame exactly did. He has successfully lowered himself to the pit of humiliation. He is the epitome of a second rate tv host.

In whatever you action you do, you have to be ready with whatever consequence it entails. What might be good for you might not be good for others and vice versa. And this is the case of Willie.

What he fails to acknowledge is the fact that people lose their sense of dignity and respect FOR MONEY. Humiliation and exploitation is guised as "MERCY". And in this kind of "MERCY", we tolerate poverty, passiveness, and impudence. We treat the poor as incapable of working. Therefore, we promise them temporal hopes. We let them fall in line under the scorching heat of the sun, let them sleep like dogs on the street, and in the end, give them 5 or 10 thousand pesos in exchange of their "hard work". The foundation of love is respect. If Willie is talking about mercy and love for the poor, Where is the sense of respect here?

Seriously, can you give away your millions and your assets away forever? With the big sponsors that he has in his show, without a doubt, it is where all the money that he's giving away is coming from.

"Exploitation" is defined in many ways. And one of which is "using a person in a selfish or unfair way". Devoid of all legal and political definitions, what he did to Jan- Jan is no doubt, a form of exploitation. The kid was crying for Christ's sake. Didn't he feel the agony and pain of the child? People might say that even Jan- Jan's father was to blame. But the point here is, Willie could've been the more intelligent one.

And making ignorant statements against those who bashed him just goes to show how shallow his understanding of the situation is. Do not blame or state that you are giving away sums of money. The point here is, YOU ARE MAKING A FOOL OUT OF EVERYONE IN YOUR SHOW IN EXCHANGE OF MONEY!

I am totally against his statement against Agot Isidro. Agot's reaction just goes to show what real love and compassion should be. Yes Willie, she doesn't have a child. But her heart goes out to Jan- Jan. And what about you? You are a father. Yet you didn't even try putting yourself in Jan- Jan's shoes. What you cared about is your audience's "happiness". What if Jan- Jan is your child? What would you feel?

I hate to say this, but the audience shows sheer knowledge about this issue. They clap and they cry. I could pretty much assume that their heart goes out to Willie. I just wish that they look at the issue in another perspective.

I have read so many comments pertaining to democracy as a petty excuse to be meddlesome. I think they (the celebrity tweeters) did the right thing. To be mum about something, is as good as being an accomplice to the situation. To meddle with the issue, which stopped this exploitation, just goes to show that the Filipinos are intelligent. They will not succumb to this kind of entertainment, and they will not let these kinds of shows take over Philippine television.

Just my two cents worth.
